Elizabeth (Libby) Wertz enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing challenges associated with ADHD, anxiety, behavior management, emotion regulation, peer relationships, and self-esteem. Additionally, she enjoys collaborating with the parents, teachers, and other adults in the child’s life to ensure the most optimal clinical care for the child.
Libby is currently a temporarily licensed psychological associate. She is also a fourth-year graduate student in Xavier’s Doctorate of Clinical Psychology program with an emphasis on working with children and adolescents. Her independent research project is titled Parent and Child Perceptions of ADHD Symptom Severity and Association with Treatment Decisions. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio University Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Psychology. She has many years of both research and clinical experience working with children and adolescents who have ADHD, ODD, and anxiety. She has also provided therapy services to college students through Xavier’s Psychological Services Center where she managed intake assessments and worked with therapy clients experiencing distress associated with ADHD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, substance abuse, and suicide.
As a temporarily licensed psychological associate, Libby's clinical work at Viewpoint is being supervised by Dr. Jennifer Ossege, licensed clinical psychologist. Libby is not on insurance panels, therefore her services are private pay only.
